Your hiking trip starts right at our doorstep. Start directly at our hotel and walk along the Passer promenade for a leisurely stroll in the direction of St. Leonhard in Passeier, passing the Sandhof, or alternatively turn toward the spa town of Meran.
Discover the numerous and well-marked hiking trails into the Passeier Valley, which offer you great views all year round. During Spring, you can enjoy the blooming apple orchards along the irrigation channels. The summer will entice you to the meadows in the Texel Group Nature Park or the Hirz hiking region. During Autumn, the valley turns into a palette of colours and as the temperatures are still mild at that time of year, nothing can stop you to conquer the one or other summit.
Some hiking suggestions
Saltaus Irrigation Channel trail – Passeier Valley
From the car park of the Hirz lift facility in Saltaus, you walk along the dam of the Passer river and from there in the direction of Hotel Torgglerhof. From there, take the irrigation channel path to Schenna or the Waller Hut in the direction of Riffian and Meran. After approximately 1.5 hours, you will be in Meran. For your return journey, you always can take the bus to Quellenhof.
Gompm Alm (Hirz mountain – 1,800 metres)
Take the Hirz lift facility right up to the mountain terminal (1,985 metres). From there, you should choose the forest path (ascending for 30 minutes). After one hour along a beautiful forest trail, you reach the middle terminal of the Hirz lift facility (1,407 metres).
